Rural Development Programme for England
The Rural Development Programme for England Business Support is part of Solutions for Business, the Government’s package of publicly funded business support designed to help companies start and grow and is managed by the region’s development agency, Yorkshire Forward. If your business is in a rural area, or if you work closely with food producers, you could be eligible for funding from The Rural Development Programme for England.There are three different types of funding depending on the kind of business activity you’re involved in and what stage your business is at, just in case you were wondering, you don’t need to be running a farm to be eligible – any business that’s based in a rural postcode can apply.

Innovation Vouchers
Funded by Yorkshire Forward and the European Regional Development Fund, Innovation Vouchers provide small to medium sized businesses (SMEs) in the region, with financial support to engage with Yorkshire’s universities and other academic institutions to help their business grow and develop. Vouchers up to the value of £3000 can be redeemed to fund the cost of this practical knowledge and expertise. deliciouslyorkshire are one of the only commercial rather than academic partners eligible to deliver Innovation Vouchers. We can help you to identify the innovation needs in your business, assist you in completing your application for funding and deliver the work should your application be successful.

Food Innovation for Seafood (FINS)
Food Innovation for Seafood – In response to the growth of the seafood market, deliciouslyorkshire and the Yorkshire & Humber Seafood Group have teamed up to provide tailored support to seafood companies in the region. Producers can access up to 8 days of assistance from the experienced deliciouslyorkshire Technical team to assist with identifying new opportunities, researching new products and developing those products for market. Appetizing Innovation
Appetizing Innovation is an exciting project to help businesses in the Yorkshire and Humber region develop innovative new products and packaging. Led by Food Processing Faraday, the project uses the skills of five partner organisations to offer the best expertise to deliver your product and packaging projects. You can receive up to 60%of the costs of a project, to find out more simply contact Food Processing Faraday to arrange a meeting to explore the opportunities available.

Designing Demand
Designing Demand is a business support programme from the Design Council. It helps businesses discover how to become more innovative, more competitive and more profitable. It does this by giving managers the skills to exploit design by  spotting opportunities, briefing designers and running design projects that deliver. You can access funded workshops and also five days’ Design Associate support. The only direct cost is design consultancy fees. Each design project is different, but as a general guide businesses have seen substantial returns on design investments between £5000 and £14000.

The Carbon Trust
The Carbon Trust provides specialist support to business and the public sector to help cut carbon emissions, save energy and commercialise low carbon technologies. Businesses and organisations can access interest free loans of £3,000 – £500,000 to invest in energy saving projects.
