deliciouslyorkshire members are getting ready to wow the crowds at Speciality Show at London’s Olympia from 5-7 September. deliciouslyorkshire will be there supporting its eight members attending the show, and shouting about the benefits to being a part of the deliciouslyorkshire brand.
Among the companies showcasing their products are Womersley Fruit and Herb Vinegars, Yorkshire Crisps and Northallerton-based bakers, Lewis and Cooper. Hoping to impress, attending members will be bringing with them a plethora of regional goodies to show to national retailers, food service experts, wholesalers and will be taking advantage of the once –in-a-lifetime opportunity to show their products to The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG).
Says Jonathan Knight, chief executive of deliciouslyorkshire,
“To have Yorkshire produce on the menu at the Olympics would be a superb accolade. The food and drink industry is worth £8.2 billion to Yorkshire and Humber’s economy, and the members exhibiting at this year’s London Speciality event are a perfect example of why this industry is thriving. I am certain that the quality of produce from Yorkshire and Humber will not only impress LOCOG, but also the crowds at Speciality.”
Says deliciouslyorkshire member, Rupert Parsons from Womersley Fruit and Herb Vinegars, “It is great news that LOCOG will be attending this year’s show, and we are hopeful for a positive meeting. We are looking forward to exhibiting with deliciouslyorkshire at Olympia to showcase our new branding which was launched in April.”
In addition to the deliciouslyorkshire pavilion there will also be a showcasing area, whereby members who cannot make it to the event still get a chance to exhibit their products.
