Membership Categories and Criteria for Membership
Producer Micro Business (with turnover less than £50,000)
Criteria: a company that is engaged in the business of making either food or drink products, within the Yorkshire and Humber region and complies with the terms and conditions of membership. All such products must have undergone a ‘reasonable’ value-adding process – over and above re-making or re-packaging.
Producer (with turnover less than £5 million)
Criteria: a company that is engaged in the business of making either food or drink products, within the Yorkshire and Humber region and complies with the terms and conditions of membership. All such products must have undergone a ‘reasonable’ value-adding process – over and above re-making or re-packaging.
Manufacturer (with a turnover of £5-£15 million)
Criteria: a company that is engaged in the business of making either food or drink products, within the Yorkshire and Humber region and complies with the terms and conditions of membership. All such products must have undergone a ‘reasonable’ value-adding process – over and above re-making or re-packaging.
Retailer
Criteria: a company that is committed to selling or serving regional food and drink products, which demonstrates a policy of purchasing products made or grown within the Yorkshire and umber region and complies with the terms and conditions of membership.
Hospitality
Criteria: a company that is committed to selling or serving regional food and drink products, which demonstrates a policy of purchasing products made or grown within the Yorkshire and Humber region and complies with the terms and conditions of membership.
Distributor / Wholesaler
Criteria: a company that is committed to selling and/or distributing regional food and drink products, which demonstrates a policy of purchasing products made or grown in the Yorkshire and Humber region and complies with the terms and conditions of membership.
deliciouslyorkshire Breakfast Scheme Member
Criteria: a company that sources at least 5 ingredients on its menu from Yorkshire or Humber or within 5 miles of the county’s borders. Copies of invoices required with application.
New Business Start-Up
Criteria: a producer, retailer, hospitality or distributor/wholesaler who has been in business for less than 12 months.
DY Breakfast Scheme
This scheme was launched to celebrate the fabulous Yorkshire breakfast ingredients on offer in the region's hotels, cafes and restaurants.
